Repack Haiku #411 (Damion Easley)

Easley's routine out
Was cause for celebration:
Made Cal's streak legit.

1993 Topps #184 Damion Easley

On September 6, 1995, Easley hit a fly ball to Baltimore second baseman Manny Alexander. It was the final out of the top of the 5th inning, making the game official. The game was paused as everyone in the stadium celebrated Cal Ripken Jr.'s record breaking 2,131st consecutive game.

Gotta love YouTube...

  1. Cool moment in baseball history. Just can't remember if I watched it live, on ESPN highlights, or both.
